Quality Lacquered Bracket Clock by Elliott
This stunning early to mid 20th Century chiming 8 day black lacquered chinoiserie antique clock , made by the famous maker Elliott and signed to the dial “Elliott” along with “London”. The dial then features an attractive gilt chapter ring set out in roman numerals and is finished with cherub spandrils to the corners along with spandrils to the arch. The front opens for access to the winding mechanism, for both the time and the chimes.
The case is beautifully lacquered with in black and finished with beautiful chinoiserie design with people, and houses painted to the sides, front, and top. The rear opens to reveal the interior with "F.W.Elliott Ltd, Croydon, England". (Seven) Jewels Unadjusted and the model number 15939.
The clock is wound from the front and ticking away perfectly.
