This Oak cased 30hour Clock by Pat Cock of Nottingham dates to the mid 18th century . Pat Clock is listed with working dates 1739-1735 .
This is a small antique clock in simple oak case with walnut or fruit wood freeze and hood pillars .Its is very typical of cases supplied to other local maker like John Wyld and James Woolley .
The small brass faced dial is beautifully made and has silvered chapter ring, name plate and date ring . Patrick Cock seems to like the use of a Dutch minute band on many of his antique clocks .Steel hand are original .
The 30hour rope driven movement is of typical design and style to other clocks by this maker who seemed to take great pride in his work . He used several distinctive features that are in common with other clocks noted by him.
