Pair Silver & Cut Glass Wired Table Lustres 1907

We are delighted to offer this beautiful and sparkling pair of Silver & Cut Glass Table Lustres which have been newly rewired. They would look superb adorning a dressing table, as bedside lights, or on a sideboard to softly light up a dining room.
The flared bases are hobnail cut, topped with a hallmarked silver section, with a flowing foliate pattern, which bears the mark for Birmingham 1907, although the makers mark is only partly visible and therefore unknown. This is topped with a bobeche (dish) with reeded edge, from which the bead and icicle drops hang.
The hobnail cut acorn shades are held in place by piano wire springs and the lamps take sbc 25 w. pygmy bulbs, which will be supplied, along with two spares.
The lamps have chrome lampholders and have been newly rewired with silver/white braided fabric covered flex and have new inline switches and plugs. As with all electrical items it is recommended that they be checked by a qualified electrician before use.
Please Note: When you view the photographs, we have removed one of the drops in order to give a better view of the silver pattern. There are none missing.
Height: 11 inches - 28cm
Diameter of base: 3 inches - 7.85cm
Diameter of shade: 3 5/8 inches - 9.25cm
Materials: Silver & Cut glass
Condition: Very good. There is a hairline crack in one ot the bobeches from the middle to the edge, but this is not visible as it is covered by the shade and is quite secure. There are a few very minor chips to the glass of the flared bases, but it is hard to even find them. The drops are in very good condition and the shades are new and perfect.
