Pair of Georgian Victorian rosewood elbow chairs
Antique pair of Georgian (or possibly early Victorian) 19C rosewood elbow chairs. These would make great desk, hall or feature chairs.
A great rare find, with fantastic proportions and styling.
Lovely colour, age, patina and charm.
Solid and strong with no loose joints.
The seats have recently been reupholstered in a natural, light cream/oatmeal coloured fabric.
Overall maximum dimensions
60cmW x 52cmD x 88cmH (45cmH seat when sat on, 69cmH arms).
Historic knocks, marks, cracks, scratches, repairs and alterations, as is always the way with antique furniture of this age. We have not inspected beneath the upholstery. There is evidence of restoration and refinishing as one might expect. There are a few historic woodworm holes, believed extinct, that we have treated for good measure.
