A Pair of Mid 19th Century Chinese Chairs.
Made of a type of “Elm” which would of been lacquered originally. Traces of this remain where less wear has occurred. Having a Yoke top rail or a “ministers hat”. Curved and carved back splats also with incised carving of a “rank” design. Solid generous seats with carved and shaped front rails, leading down to a foot rest. All original and a beautiful colour and patina. A better than average pair of Chinese chairs of similar form and design.

Width 25” or 64cm ( overall arm to arm )
Depth 25” or 64cm ( overall allowing to gauge of contour of back )
