Pair of 19th Century French Giltwood Armchairs
A pair of French giltwood open armchairs, these
19th century chairs have serpentine front rails, curving arms and stand on well shaped legs. The frames are sound and the chairs stand well.
We have had the seats professionally repadded, this has been done from underneath. As can be seen in the photographs, the chairs retain the original fabric, this is worn in places but is so beautiful we could not bring ourselves to remove it. As the frames are sound and the seats plump, new owners may wish to recover.
