A wonderful rustic style 19th century oak lambing chair, with a lovely colour, a box seat and the traditional winged high back.

– ‘Lambing’ chair, traditionally from the Lancashire and Yorkshire dales, used in a region where sheep farming is prevalent.
– Good colour and original condition.
– Winged back and large, shaped arms.
– Hinged seat which lifts up to reveal storage box.
– Panelled back, seat and box sides.
– Shaped crest.
– Square legs.

This will make a great addition to a country kitchen, with a generous, comfortable seat which will benefit from the addition of a padded cushion. The box is a useful storage facility. It will also look lovely in a cottage living room, by a fireside.

In good original condition with wear consistent with age and use.
