Oak Arm Chair
An interesting oak armchair with padded leather back panel, elbow rests and seat edged with ornamental brass flower-head studs.
The rectangular back panel above an arcaded section with turned spindles and foliate carved decoration.
The top rail surmounted by a brass pole handle with finial knobs either side.
The arm having scroll end terminals carved with foliage above turned supports leading down to the turned legs united by an H-form stretcher,
A most comfortable chair used by ourselves for a desk chair.
The original horse hair padding is still firm, the leather is original which shows some wear as expected, however it is perfectly sound.
A most interesting chair clearly having been made for a formal use or display, it's original location can only be imagined.
Most likely dating to early 20th century possibly Edwardian.
