Miniature Walnut Bracket Clock By Clockmaker To The King
A delightful miniature walnut bracket antique clock in the Mid 18th Century style, made around 1920-30, in the reign of George V. It has a brass carrying handle a caddy top and brass ogee bracket feet. The arch dial has a a silvered chapter ring and gilt spandrels, within the arch it is signed by the makers Charles Frodsham, Clockmaker to H M The King. It has an 8 day platform movement. Please note this is a small clock of diminutive proportions.
Charles Frodsham (15 April 1810 – 11 January 1871) was a distinguished English horologist, establishing the firm of Charles Frodsham & Co, which remains in existence as the longest continuously trading firm of chronometer manufacturers in the world.

The case is in excellent original good condition, the movement has been fully serviced and is guaranteed for 12 months. We have been established since 1978, dealing in and restoring most antiques, specialising in clocks and furniture. We have our own workshops where we carry out specialist restoration work.-
