oak cased grandfather antique clock of small proportions, the arched hood crowned with three finely carved urn finials to the swan neck having wooden rosettes, the arched brass dial engraved with gilt-metal Roman numerals and decorated foliate face, the dial inscribed with Tempus Fugit. The eight-day two-train movement with anchor escapement and striking the hours, the clock is signed W Carpemter London, The case having long door flanked by rounded reeded columns the base fitted with ogee feet
