Dating to mid 20th century (circa 1960), a large, Italian, vintage trinket or jewellery box with a hinged lid and made all in onyx with gilded high quality gilded brass mounts and ormolu decoration with an added design element of gilded lions paw feet.
Usually described as some form of bijouterie casket but may also be used for playing cards.

The onyx has a range of vivid colours from red, brown, yellow and green.

Size: 18 cm wide by 12cm deep by 6.5cm high

This is in excellent condition and has its original plus velvet lining which is clean and undamaged.
