Mid 19thc Italian Grand Tour alabaster Roman bath
A highly decorative mid 19thc Italian Grand Tour alabaster Roman bath of small proportions.
This bath is formed from one piece of well figured alabaster stone and has a roll top with four carved lion masks, two on each side.
The bath rests on four large lion paw feet and stands on an integral plinth base.
This piece could be used maybe as a desk tidy or jardiniere or would look stunning in a marble bathroom as a statement piece.
On one corner there is an old repair although this is only just visible to the naked eye.
