A good example of a high quality polished Belgium slate bell striking mantel antique clock with a visible Brocot escapement. The rectangular case has grey variegated marble sides and an engraved molding front. It has a thick bevel edge glass in a brass bezel and a two piece enamel dial that exposes the working visible Brocot escapement. The 8 day movement strikes the hours and halves on a bell and was made by Japy Frere and has their 1853 medal stamp.

Current Condition
The case is in good original condition, the movement has been serviced in our own workshops and is guaranteed for 12 months. If you would like a video clip of this clock working and striking please email us.
