Mahogany Fusee Master Clock Llewellins Machine Co
The 8 day chain driven Fusee movement is wound from the back where there is also a subsidiary dial with a hand to adjust the time, as a recording clock the bezel is secured so it cannot be tampered with.
There are some holes to the movement which points towards some of the recording components having been removed, probably to modify the clock for normal usage, but the movement that runs the clock is 100% to the clock and to note, the clock would not have been a striker. All we see that’s removed is the recording linkages and levers.
That said, the clock runs perfectly with a strong beat, keeps excellent time and comes with the original pendulum, rear door key and a huge key for the winding.
Huge 4mm gauge plates measuring 6.75 inch x 8 inch.
The glass in the brass bezel is original as it the pendulum viewing glass.
Standing 60cm high and 45cm wide with a depth of 22cm.
