Letter from Lord Grey
Hand written letter from Lord Charles Grey,(1764-1845). Whig Politician and British Prime Minister from 1830-1834. Charles Grey 2nd Viscount Earl Grey was from a long established Northumbrian family seated at Howick Hall.
The letter is from Howick Hall.
Lord Grey was noted also for his affair with Lady Devonshire and also for the tea that is named after him - Earl Grey.
