Viewing for this item is by appointment as it is held at a secure location away from our premises .LOUIS DE FRANCE(1671 to 1711) known as Le Grand Dauphin or Monseigneur. He died before his father Louis XIV so he never inherited the throne. Born 1/11/1661 at the Chateau de Fontainbleau, eldest son of King Louis XIV and Maria Theresa of Spain. This frame has 6 rubies on mercury gilding, unfortunately someone polished the gilt and because mercury is soft rubbed gold off.
