Large Domed Top Bracket Clock
A huge domed top bracket antique clock with an 8-day mechanical movement. This lovely piece has a striking mechanism that strikes on the half and full hours on a gong. The case is predominantly mahogany with burr walnut inlays and has a delicate fret work panel to either side, some damage to the original fabric lining but can be replaced quite easily if you desire. The clock stands on brass paw feet. The dial is silvered with black Roman numerals and has an outer chapter ring. PW-8 circa 1900.
