This is a large antique tapestry. A French, needlepoint scene depicting The Lady and the Unicorn, dating to the early 20th century, circa 1920.
Of superior proportion, this tapestry is a quality recreation of the 15th century renaissance series of tapestries known as Dame a la L'icorne (The Lady and the Unicorn). A series of six, this fascinating tapestry represents the central element of the whole - La Gout (The Sense of Taste).
Generously sized for decorative wall mounting at 5' 8" x 4' 5" (167cm x 138cm)
