Large & Impressive English Antique Leather Bombard
A fine English antique leather bombard - a little later than what we usually buy but given we love bombards and blackjacks, we couldn't resist!
With silver hallmarked rim for Frederick James Ross of Jacob and Ross, Assay mark for Sheffield and date letter "t" representing 1911.
The rim appears contemporary to the piece so we would also date the bombard to 1911.
This item would have been used for carrying liquids during its day and would have been formed by placing wet leather over a mould, shaping it and then stitching it together.
Condition - good as per images. Silver hallmarks are good.
Height 18” approx
