Wonderful satin stitch picture set of muted colours highlighted by the central black gate and set within Black lacquered frame.
The scene is possibly Itsukushima Shrine's "floating" torii gate, an historic Japanese Site.
Dating to the late Meiji or Taishō period or the first quarter of the 20th century
Size: including frame 43cm x 32cm

Condition: only one very tiny chip to lacquered frame. Needlework appears in very good order. The rear could do with being resealed.
