"To the Village" is the title of this superb Watercolour by the British Artist Henry Charles Fox fl 1879-1913. Signed and dated 1911.Fox was a landscape painter of mainly rural subjects who was born in London in 1860.He lived in London and Kingston-upon-Thames but travelled widely across the South of England, Surrey, Berkshire, Sussex and Kent. He specialised in Country scenes showing the "Everyday story of Country Folk" He exhibited at the Royal Academy from 1879 to 1902. also at The Royal Society of British Artists,
Royal Institute of Painters in Oils.The Royal. The Royal Hibernian Academy and the Royal Institute.
His Watercolours are highly collectable, examples of his work can be found in Reading Art Gallery.
