A George III tortoiseshell tea caddy with a ball finial and sitting on brass ball feet. The caddy is intricately worked all round to give a reeded finish and shows remarkable craftsmanship. Only a top maker could achieve such precision on such a delicate material.
The tortoiseshell is lustrous and in excellent condition.

The caddy measures 13 cm high x 13 cm wide x 8 cm deep.
