A Mahogany Eight Day Longcase Clock, swan neck pediment, trunk with blind fret work borders, nicely figured trunk door, 13-inch arch brass dial with a silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring.

Nicely engraved dial centre with date aperture and bearing an inscription Standring Bolton and arch with moon phase aperture striking on a bell.

Engraved with a poem:

“behold the moon her beautous charms displays and o’er all nature shoots her silver rays.

In ages past she has the soul refind and added knowledge to the enquiring mind”
