The Document box retains the original Brass carying handles & original Blue paper lining.
The box has a reeded strip around the base & has shaped corners.
This quality box would have been used by Solictors etc to transport important documents.It has an old but replaced lock, no key available.The strip of wood underneath the base is missing as can be seen in photo.One of the hindges has a small piece missing.
Overall the box is still in very good condition for its age & the minor defects in no way detracts from this good quality box.
Size height at front of slope 5.35" & at rear 6.26", depth 12" & width 16.60"
