Georgian Crossbanded Oak Bureau Desk Writing Table
Antique Georgian 18th Century oak bureau desk or writing table.
Attractive mahogany crossbanding.
There is a key to the small internal central door (a little sticky).
This is a lovely bureau, that is full of age, charm and character.
No loose joints and the drawers slide freely (some marks inside as is to be expected).
Good shape and fantastic proportions.
Rare, with a great colour.
Overall maximum dimensions 98cmW x 51cmD x 102cmH (74cmH writing surface).
Historic knocks, marks, cracks, scratches, wear, imperfections, repairs and alterations, as is always the way and to be expected with genuine antique furniture. There are no keys and the locks are consequently untested (one missing). The handles on the bottom drawer are slightly different. There are some historic extinct woodworm holes, that we have treated for good measure.
Please note that this item is large and heavy. Please make sure before buying that it will fit in and can be maneuvered into the room that it is intended for. The customer will need to provide 1 strong able bodied person(s) for our driver to assist with carrying.
