Georgian carved Gothic oak settle hall seat bench
Antique Georgian carved Gothic oak settle, hall seat, bench, sofa or coffer.
Large and attractive, with no loose joints.
Amazing iron butterfly hinges.
We have a key.
Huge storage capacity.
Nice mid oak colour, full of rustic charm and character.
Great proportions and styling, which would look amazing in the right location.
Very decorative.
The upholstery is not new, with light wear and no major marks or stains.
Fantastic carving (possibly later, inline with Victorian fashion).
Overall maximum dimensions 154cmW x 59cmD x 150cmH (55cmH seat).
Historic knocks, marks, cracks, scratches, repairs and alterations, as is always the way with antique furniture of this age. We have not inspected beneath the upholstery. Historic woodworm holes as one would expect, believed extinct, that we have treated for good measure. Later strengthening added to corners of the seat (not visible unless opened).
Please note that this item is large and heavy. Please make sure before buying that it will fit in and can be maneuvered into the room that it is intended for. The customer will need to provide 1 strong able bodied person for our driver to assist with carrying.
