Ludwig Heinrich Jungnickel - b1881 Wundsiedel d1965 Vienna
Achieved international fame during his life time in particular for his animal depictions.
His works can be found in numerous collections and Museums including the Albertina and Belvedere In Vienna. His animal frieze created for the Palais Stoclet in Brussels is where Jungnickel discovers his passion for animal motifs.
He was part of Gustav Klimt’s circle and also worked for the Wiener Werkstätte.
Provenance, from the late Weltmann-Touschek estate.
