Joseph Gillott's Magnum Bonum Commercial Pen Nib Label of circa 1830's. The Label is by Charles Whiting, printed Letterpress and Embossed Border (Gaufrage)onto thick paper. The Gaufrage Security Printing Method was originally patented by Sir William Congreve in 1824. Joseph Gillott's of Bread Street, Birmingham was founded in 1827.
