Description: Ancient oil painting on canvas depicting a portrait of Maria Giovanna Battista di Savoia Nemours with a gilded wooden frame from the same period.

The noblewoman of high social standing is portrayed half-length, wearing a soft dress in gray and blue textured fabric, with lace running along the neckline.

Her Silver and ruby clasps drape the fabric over her chest and sleeves.

Note the careful rendering of her facial features, the attention to the nuances of the complexion, the sharpness of the contours underlined by the light.
