French M1822 pattern Light Cavarly Officers sword. Curved, fullered blade 34" long, with foundry stamps, some pitting and a ding near the point.Engraved on the backstrap 1825.
Hilt very ornate, leather grip with wire, which is broken and needs refixing, all solid.Total sword length 40"
Scabbard solid, but a little rusty inside, needs a clean out with oil.
