French Bronze Mantle Clock
This fine clock has a magnificent Bronze of the Scythian Flayer of Marsyas as its subject. (The Knife Grinder ) The oridginal is a Hellenic marble statue of the Pergamum school of the 3rd C. BC As in the Uffici Gallery in Florence. Mounted on a Sienna Marble Case. circa 1815
The Movement is signed Andre Pignot and Pons of Paris. It is fitted with a Gilt Roman figuered dial, Silk suspsion and count wheel striking on a Bell.

This Guarantee is only valid if
1. the clock is not exposed to unreasonable atmospheric conditions. This includes excessive heat, dust, cold or humidity
2. the clock is not subject to unreasonable handling. This means aggressive winding or transporting without appropriate precautions and protection
3. the clock’s movement is cleaned and serviced by me not less than every three years.
