French 19th Century Carved Oak Arm Chair, Throne
French 19th Century Carved Oak Arm Chair, Throne or Hall Chair
This is a superb and intricately carved piece, the chair back has arches and barley twist columns, each with a turned wood spindle in the centre, there are many faces on the back of Lions and Cherubs and a King and Queen and an abundance of scrolls and leaves all over the piece
The Chair seat has good upholstery in an Armorial Tapestry design
The chair is in generally good condition for it’s age, some of the spindles are different to each other but this looks like it was the way the chair was made
