Framed Georgian Farm Etching by Robert Hills
Artist - Etched by Robert Hills (1769-1844), and English painter and etcher
Title - Untitled
Details - Etching of a farm scene, hand-coloured with watercolour. Featuring cattle, sheep and a cart. The engraver's details are printed below the image. Published by R. Bowyer, Pall Mall, 1825. Framed and glazed in a lovely antique frame with superb bird's eye maple veneers.
Condition - Overall in good condition. The print has been taped to a backboard (on the front). The paper is discoloured and faded with age and has some tan lines. The frame has some scuffing, knocking and wear as might be expected. There is some lifting to the veneers in places and some shrinkage cracking to the corners. The frame has no backboard and is backed with cardboard.
The approx. measurements are as follows:
