Here we have a rare Folk art Maritime oil painting on artist board c1900. As you can see the painting has great colour and patina. The carved wooden frame is formed in the shape of a lifebouy ring with rope attachments. The central painting is of a steam fishing boat and probably a Herring drifter c1900. The picture came from Suffolk and these boats were synonymous with Lowestoft so it may have come from there. A super piece in great retail condition ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 30 cm wide 30 cm high 3 cm deep.
