Fine Antique Champleve Clock set
A 19th century gilt metal antique clock garniture, champlevé blue and Black decoration.
Japy Freres 3 Pc. Champleve Clock Set. gilt dial has painted Roman hour numerals,original black hands, dial signed.
A late 19th Century French ormolu and champleve enamel cased mantel clock by Japy Freres, retailed by J. Mayer of Paris, the 3.75ins diameter gilt dial with Roman numerals to the eight day two train movement striking on a bell, contained in case with champleve enamel decoration to the front, back and sides, the domed centre with turned finial and cupid figure to foreground and four turned columns to corners, each with standing cupid support, on bun feet, 43cms high x 22cm wide, complete with original pendulum and a key.
With a pair of candelabras have champlevé design with 2 flowing candle arms and center candle holder with turned pointed finials.
Set is in original un-restored condition with no breaks, losses, Good working order 8 day mechanism
