Fables of Aesop by Sir Roger L'Estrange
The late 19th C facsimile edition printed and published by John Gray of 'Fables of Aesop and other eminent Mythologists with Morals and Reflections' by Sir Roger L'Estrange. Third Edition printed in London 1669.
Inscribed in pen and ink to 'Alfred Trotter Esq:with the best wishes of his friend J.H.Boyle Sept 15th 1880'
Original tooled and gilt leather binding with marbled end papers and 476pp this is however something of a compromise copy as the leather to spine and front board is split, but neither detached, with with loosened stitching. Remainder of binding is tight so some repair would prove both possible and worthwhile.
Price includes postage to any UK address. All items are covered by the Distance Selling Regulations which give buyers the right to cancel the purchase within seven days after receipt of the item for a full refund less RETURN transport costs
