This is a fabulous, very large Italian giltwood frame with crisp detail, beautiful original water gilding and a lovely antique patina. This dates from the early 19th century circa 1830. The substantial frame is a grand and imposing size measuring 118 cms by 103 cms overall. The aperture is 89.5 cms by 73 cms. The opening at the back to receive the painting is 92.5 cms by 76.5 cms.

Excellent original condition.
PROVENANCE. From an Italian Villa on the Amalfi coast. PLEASE NOTE WE ARE AWAY UNTIL DECEMBER 1st.
