Early 20th C Cased Carp. Signed G Lowe. 1903
This is a very well mounted and cased late Victorian Fishing Trophy of a Carp (Mirror Carp?).
The ebonised case has glazed side panels and a bow fronted glass picked out with gilded borders.
Considerable care and detail has been given to the naturalistic fresh water setting. It features a well painted and textured rocky backdrop, a range of foliage and freshwater plants, crayfish and shells.
Signed G Lowe. 1903. on the lower left corner of the rocky backdrop. ALL OF OUR PRICES INCLUDE FREE UK MAINLAND DELIVERY.
