Early 19th Cent Mahogany Scottish Long Case Clock

A very pretty mahogany longcase clock of nice small size. It is by Hay Eldrick of Kirkwall, Orkney, Scotland. He is listed as working there from 1823 to 1832.
The lovely slim case is in Mahogany with a very decorative grain. It has a swan neck pediment with brass roundels and decorative fret panels. The long trunk door has a working lock and key.
The 8 day movement strikes the hours on a bell and a lovely painted dial with gilt highlights. It has secondary seconds and date dials and a good matching set of original hands
The case is in good condition but has the inevitable signs of age and use. There is a fine crack to the base (filled) and slight shrinkage crack just above the door. However neither of these detracts too much from what is a lovely looking antique clock.
The movement is in good working order and keeping good time.
The maximum dimensions are:
210cm (82,5") high
50cm (19.5") wide
24cm (9.5") deep
Free local delivery (40mls), national and international delivery arranged at cost
