Charming Oak & Mahogany Longcase with Inlays & Cross Banding
8 Day Striking Movement with attractive Painted Dial of "Mary and Her Lamb(s) signed by THOMAS BASS OF RAUNDS (Loomes lists him as early 19th Century - Location Unkown - England) Northamptonshire (between Thrapston & Higham Ferrers. A rare antique clock by this little known clockmaker, so of interest to ALL CLOCK LOVERS.
Movement has been serviced, checked & oiled and is in full working order with Seconds Hand & Date Window
Unusually, this longcase has adjustable height. Whilst the full height is 83.5 inches (just under 7 ft) if you have less height - it can be lowered by 2.25 inches as the bracket feet/plinth is separate and so can be removed.
