The movement is an 8-day striking hourly on a bell. The 13” arched dial has Roman numerals, a date ring and a seconds ring. The trunk has crossbanded, canted corners in satinwood with the door and base veneered in a super flame mahogany. The hood has fretwork swan-neck pediment with an inlaid fan to the centre above an inlaid cornice. To either side of the hood there are fluted columns with brass Corinthian capitals.
