This compact is suitable for use with loose face powder, as a handbag mirror or as a copper wedding (7th) anniversary gift

An adorable 1930s celluloid Evans mesh bottom compact duo. The celluloid lid is decorated to look like guilloche enamel. Very pretty with a floral bouquet in the middle. Lift the lid to see a hinged metal mirror which gives a good reflection & the powder well with the original sifter insert. The mirror opens to reveal another compartment which is almost full of rogue & another mirror which also gives a good reflection.The interior is gilt & stamped 'MADE IN U.S.A. All clasps & hinges work perfectly. The sides are gilt too with an attractive embossed design. The mesh bottom is also in good condition with a deep patina that gives it a copper hue.

This enchantingly little compact duo measures 2 1/2" & weighs 76.1 grams.
