Charles Cock Longcase Clock
A lovely 18th century mellow oak longcase clock by Charles Cock of Macclesfield (1762-1782). This piece has been fully serviced and is in full working order. The antique clock consists of a brass dial with inset blacked Roman numerals with a sub-seconds dial at 12 o'clock. The date window is for decorative purposes only. The mechanical movement is an 8-day piece with a strike on a bell. The oak case is typical of the period and the Cheshire clock-makers of the time.
