The barometer has an engraved and silvered dial with barometric scale calibrated in inches of mercury from 23 to 31 inches, with 1/20-inch divisions. Rotating altimeter bezel from 0 to 8000 feet in 50 feet divisions. Blued-steel pointer. Barometer in working order. The barometer is housed in a barrel-form, gilt-brass case under a bevelled glass cover. Adjustment screw to the back. Original dark-red Moroccan leather covered fitted outer case with original silk and velvet lining. Hinged case secured with a push-catch. Barometer is approximately 5 cm in diameter. Case is 6 cm in diameter and 3 cm in height.
