1860s Carved Meerschaum "Life Boat Rescue" Very Rare Cheroot Holder Cased in Original Case.

This is without doubt one of the nicest and rarest Meerschaums out there, it is modelled as a a Victorian Life Boat rescue, a wonderful shaped cheroot holder. In its original leather case. It is without doubt a museum quality piece. Any boat meerschaum is a highly rare and sort after subject matter, but being an early lifeboat or rescue, I believe it to be a commissioned piece.

No chips, no cracks to the bowl - overall great order, please see photos as these form part of the description.

Please note that the pipe has been smoked and is in USED condition.
