Dating from the middle Bronze age period circa (1300BC-1100BC}
This has to be one of the nicest Palstave axes II have had in stock for many years, and as always it looks better in the hand than the pics suggest with a very smooth patination.
This is the slender flange type with no loop. The axe would have fitted to the haft, stopped at the flanges and tied on.
