This is a beautiful Bristol longcase clock from the reign of George II, with a bell strike 8 day movement by Joshua Hewlett, Bristol - dating this clock from 1749-64. The Hewlett family are renowned for producing High Water at Bristol Key Clocks. This clock also depicts the moonphase, below which is a brass dial with silvered chapter ring.
