Outstanding black marble mantel antique clock decorated with beautiful malachite inlays and gilded scrolling.
The white enamel dial has black Roman numerals and a visible escapement protected by brass bezel with bevel edged glass, Underneath is a beautifully shaped viewing window showing the mercury pendulum and a perpetual calendar showing the day, date, month and the lunar phase and a barometer. The eight day movement strikes the hours and halves on a bell. Standing on a raised enclosed marble plinth, with malachite panel to the centre and further foliate carving. A very striking clock in full working order a true statement piece.
