'Grey Horses' by Tom Gentleman original lithograph from the 'School Prints' series published by Baynard Press in the 1940s.

Tom Gentleman studied part-time at Glasgow School of Art. He worked as a cartoonist and illustrator in Glasgow for some years before coming to London in the late 1920s. In the thirties he was a poster designer for a number of agencies and eventually became head of Shell Studios. The small boy in blue admiring the brewery horses is Tom’s son David, himself now a celebrated graphic artist.

Framed and glazed the outside frame size measures 90cm x 63cm. The actual image size is 41.5cm x 68.5cm.
