Arts & Crafts Wingback Armchair c1895
An Arts & Crafts solid oak framed wingback armchair c1895.
The armchair being raised on turned legs and castors, having an arched stretcher with railed centre and spade cut-outs to the side armrests.
Newly and fully upholstered to include new webbing and springs, and covered in a good quality William Morris linen fabric.
In good condition, sturdy, no loose joints. There is an old repair to one arm (see image)

Seat Height 16cm Our stock items are carefully selected by myself and I only buy good quality items which may need small repairs, a clean and a polish. I don't buy any items that need major restoration, but any loose joints are re-glued. Occasionally, some items may have small amounts of historic extinct woodworm, never enough to affect the integrity of the item, and is always treated as a matter of course. We try to describe and show our items the best we can, and we use studio lighting which sometimes lightens the colour slightly on some of the furniture. All lamps are rewired and PAT tested. Every item we sell we would have in our home (some of them have been!!) It is impossible to describe every item fully, so please feel free to email or call for more information or any queries you may have. The items will have no major defects but will show signs of normal age related wear and use. I would prefer the items to show its life rather than strip it and re-polish it, as it's only original once!
